Andrew Fikan, commonly known as “Andy,” joined Sycuan Health Center as a Pharmacist in 2020. He earned his Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Kansas, graduating in 2011. Andy has dedicated his career to community-based independent pharmacies, where personalized service and heartfelt compassion have always been at the core. He has served as preceptor for several universities including UCSF, Oregon State and UCSD, guiding student pharmacists and provide meaningful mentorship throughout their professional development.
Andy enjoys developing personal relationships with his patients and getting to know them on a first-name basis. He values the sense of community fostered at Sycuan Health Center, which enhances both his professional and personal fulfillment.
Outside of work, Andy enjoys golfing, basketball (go Jayhawks!), adopting all of San Diego’s home teams (Go Padres! Go SDFC!), music, and cherishing family time, particularly the adventures his toddler leads them on. Growing up on a family farm in a small Kansas town, Andrew humorously notes his transition from “farm life to pharm life.”
