Hermina Krista Pettiford, also known as “Krisy,” has been with Sycuan Health Center since 1998 and currently serves as the IT/HIT Manager. She holds an Associate of Science in Information Technology with an emphasis in Network Management from Grossmont College, a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Leadership from Southern California Seminary, and certifications in Health Information Technology Implementation and Project Management from Mesa College. Krisy is also AHIMA-certified and holds a NextGen Certified Professional credential for EHR, EPM, CIS, as well as a Project Management certification from PMI.
With 26 years of service at Sycuan, Krisy has been part of the IT department since 2002. She finds great fulfillment in working with Health Information Technology, as it allows her to support the delivery of healthcare to the Sycuan Tribe and surrounding communities—even if much of her work happens behind the scenes.
Outside of work, Krisy enjoys spending time with family and friends, serving at her local church, hiking, going to the beach, reading good books, and exploring new restaurants.
