Tomas Davila, CPT-1, CCMA, BS, PBPM

Tomas Davila joined Sycuan Health Center in 2025 as a Phlebotomist and Lab Assistant. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX, and a Postbaccalaureate in Pre-Medical Sciences from Columbia University. He is also currently pursuing an MBA at the University of the Incarnate Word. Tomas has an AAS in Computer Technology from Central Texas College and a strong foundation in medical and technical fields.

Tomas brings over 20 years of diverse experience to his role. He currently serves as a part-time inpatient phlebotomist at UCSD Jacobs and Hillcrest Medical Center Rapid Response Laboratories. He has also held significant positions such as Chief Electronics Technician in the US Navy, where he served for 23 years, and Lead Medical Assistant & Phlebotomist at Perlman Clinic in San Diego. Additionally, Tomas was a Phlebotomy Instructor for two years at US Colleges in San Diego and has worked as a mobile phlebotomist and medical assistant, serving states across the U.S. for six years.

Tomas enjoys the one-on-one relationships he can establish with patients at Sycuan Health Center. He values being part of an organization that treats its patients like family and invests in the well-being of tribal members, staff, and the community at large.

A first-generation college student, Tomas credits his parents and the military for providing him the tools, education, and support to pursue his dream of providing health care. Outside of work and studies, Tomas enjoys cycling, hiking, camping, photography, going to the movies, and spending time at home with his better half.
